    Just a minor correction. “Aswang” is not entirely considered as a female monster in our folklore but it is indeed portrayed as a beautiful woman in the outside. We have male and even children forms of aswangs.

      he/she’s right.. actually “aswang” is a general name..the “manananggal” under the “aswang” is what they were talking about as female monster.. hehe
