Frack dude! The story about strolling through the streets and walking face first into one of those spiders is enough to make Australia a place I’d never go…lol. 0_o

Someone should really source their information before throwing it around on the web. Not that it’s rare to see misleading info on the net these days, but people worldwide already have a terribly misinformed and negative view of potentially dangerous animals, especially snakes, without this kind of thing. I’ve worked with Australia’s most venomous snakes for years, removing them from houses and giving live shows with them, in an attempt to circulate some real info on their habits. There is no snake in the world that can bite a person through a car window, especially a moving one. The black mamba is the fastest snake in the world, rarely passing 10km/h. And although eastern brown snakes could be called reactive and volatile, they are by no means aggressive. They will never EVER instigate a confrontation, rather they will flee if possible or, if trapped or harmed, they may strike in self-defense.

Im pretty sure we dont suffer trauma because we have many kinds of spiders. The only spider that makes a web you’d smack your face into here is the orb web spider, and their webs are not found in urban places, and even if you did, orb web spiders are small and they are totally harmless.
