Romanians don't drink “home-made vodka”, we drink Tuica ( see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%A2uic%C4%83 ), and they don't get pneumonia or hypothermia, it's just an Orthodox Tradition, I don't think that pushing your body to it's limits is a laughable thing, as long as others killed and still kill in His name

The wife carrying contest has no history in Finland, it started as a joke in 1992, not in the 1800. I do not know where did you get that “fact”, but it's total bolony. The wikipedia does not always tell the truth ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wife_carrying ), Rosvo-Ronkainen is partly a fictional character…

Ţuică seems like a cool thing. Here in Serbia, we call it rakija, most famous is šljivovica ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slivovitz

what about the penis worshipping in some parts of japan? lolol.

    • skitkorven

the goat thing is not true! >:(

    • koffa

The goat is also, in the town of Gävle, Sweden, tradition to burn the goat: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tm-MPV9ZX5c/SzJGJ3qmNiI/AAAAAAAACcI/2JQ19HFkxxM/s400/bocken.jpg

    • Sweden

The goat thing is not true at all.
Who ever wrote this is pulling stuff out of his ass.
No country in northern europe has “yule goat” tradition, not a single word is correct.

Nice try to be funny, but its a sad pice of lies :)

    • Totally BS

Sweden: Indeed. I really wonder where the author gets his information…

    • GalvaSwe

no it's actually true with the yule goat, it is located in Gävle every year but it has become a tradition to burn it down before Christmas, however, illegal but there are a shitload of people who bet money on whether it will burn before Christmas or not . I have seen the yule goat with my own eyes.

What the f**k ''yule goat''? That must be the weirdest translation ever. Julbock in swedish and christmasgoat in english.

Gävle, a town not far from Stockholm is the only place on earth where you can see one, whoever wrote this needs to get his facts right
