errrm, viking blots were feasts not blood sacrifices. The word blot is pronounced bloat, as it was a time when you ate and drank till you were bloated, basically. There was a lot of bragging and story telling, but the ritual you describe is utter bollocks.

Easter is from Eostre, not eastre.

The Easter thing is just wrong – the word for that celebration is “Easter” only in English and German (roughly). In all other languages, the word for it is a derivative of the word for “Passover”.

1. ‘would make any baron animal fertile” should be ‘barren’, not ‘baron’

2. In the section title, should be Anglo-Saxons (plural), not Anglo-Saxon’s (possessive)
