The consumption of vanadium, which is used to improve the strength properties of structural steel sections, may rise in territories vulnerable to seismic events following the recent catastrophe in Japan

I have an uncle who was a professor of psychology at a community college in Minnesota. He told me of an experiment a collegue of his conducted on catatonic patients. He placed them randomly around a baseball field and hit line drives at them to see if they would move out of the way to avoid being hit. Surprisingly quite a few of the patients did move out of the way, but in no way did they come out of their catatonic state. I believe he wanted to see how much of the real environment the patients were aware of. Personally I think he could have achieved the same result by putting food in front of the patients to see if they would eat.

The animal experiments with the elephant and the dog are just plain cruel! So inhumane!
I'm glad the researcher and the surgeon are dead!

297 milligrams of LSD is nowhere NEAR 3000 times the amount a human would take. Intrepid psychonauts will relatively often take themselves to a milligram (I've personally done 1.2 milligrams), and there are reports of people taking as much as ten milligrams. Your "3000 times" number is off by at least an order of magnitude.

Speaking of Tickling. Did you know there is a houseplant that MOVES when you Tickle It? The leaves instantly close and even the branches droop. It was the best gift I ever received and I had so much fun growing it.

As far as i know the elephant did die of respiratory depression, as elephants are way more sensitive to lsd than humans. by the way: humans are way more sensitive than e.g. mice - so the bigger the mammal, the less lsd per kilogramm bodyweight will kill.
